This site collects two kinds of data: visit statistics (see “Audience measurement” below) and the data you send me through its forms:
This data is only used to answer your request and, where relevant, to prepare a quote or a contract. It is needed to reply to you (pre-contractual steps) and is never sold or used for advertising.
Each message is sent to me by email, and a copy is kept in the site’s admin area. I keep these exchanges for as long as needed to handle your request and follow up on our relationship, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact, unless the law requires me to keep them longer (for example for accounting if we work together).
The site and form messages are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland, a country recognised by the European Union as providing an adequate level of data protection.
To see which pages are visited and improve the site, I use Matomo, a free and open-source analytics tool that I host myself with Combell, in Belgium. The statistics stay on that server: they are never shared, sold or used for advertising.
Matomo runs here without cookies. For each page view, it records the page address, the referring page, the type of device, the browser, the language and an approximate location. Your IP address is anonymised as soon as it is recorded (the last 2 bytes are masked), and this information is only used for overall statistics, not to identify you. It is kept for 13 months at most.
This measurement is based on my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You can object to it at any time by writing to hello@jonasthiry.com.
The site’s typefaces and images are hosted on the same server as the site. No data is sent to Google, a font provider or an image service to display them.
The “Book a call” (Calendly) and “WhatsApp” buttons are plain links: no data is sent to these services unless you click them. If you use them, their own privacy policies apply.
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies, and audience measurement works without cookies. The site sets a single technical cookie:

Under the GDPR, you can at any time ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, and object to or restrict its processing. Write to me at hello@jonasthiry.com: I will reply within one month at most.
